Merry and Bright Homemade Exfoliating Salt Scrub

Makes enough finished salt scrub to fill 4 of our 4 oz. glass salve jars or white plastic jars.

  1. Combine Epsom and red Alaea salts in a ceramic or glass bowl and mix well with a spoon.

  2. Pour in sunflower oil and mix until the scrub reaches your preferred consistency—I like mine to be slightly grainy. You can add a bit more oil if you prefer a more liquid consistency.

  3. Carefully drip essential oils into your salt/oil blend and mix again.

  4. Scoop salt scrub into your desired containers, label, and decorate with ribbon or any other trimmings you like.

Citrus Nectarine Exfoliating Body Scrub

  • 1 small nectarine (or half a large nectarine)

  • 1 orange

  • 1/4 cup coconut oil

  • 3/4 cup sugar

  1. Grate the skin off of the nectarine and the zest off the orange. Set aside.

  2. Remove the pit from the nectarine, and place in a bowl. Smash the nectarine with a fork until broken down. Add the nectarine skin and orange rind to the nectarine, and mix.

  3. Add in coconut oil and sugar, and stir until incorporated.  Transfer to a clean jar with a lid, and store in refrigerator until ready to use.  This homemade citrus nectarine exfoliating body scrub will last up to 3 days in the fridge.

  4. Apply liberally to body, massaging into the skin with gentle, circular motions. Rinse off with warm water, and dry off skin.
